(VOVworld) – Nguyen Thi Doan, Vice President and Chairwoman of the Protection Council of Vietnam’s Fund for Child Protection presented 110 scholarships worth 150 USD each to outstanding and needy students in the northern province of Ninh Binh on Wednesday.

Vice President Doan praised the recipients’ study achievement and encouraged them to continue their efforts in the new school year. On this occasion, the Vice President also visited and presented gifts to 120 children at Rehab Center for Children No.2 for their good performances over the last year. Vice President Doan spoke highly of Ninh Binh local authority for its children’s social care and urged relevant agencies in the province to enhance their supervision of children’s rights. The Vice President also gave 570 gifts to poor children in the province on the occasion of the mid-autumn festival.
