This was announced during the second meeting of the International Council for the Day of Vesak (ICDV) and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on February 26.
Venerable Phra Brahmapundit, Chairman of ICDV, said that at Ba Den Mountain, he felt peace and serenity through the Buddhist spirit and the statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva—a symbol of joy and tranquility. From this mountain, one can spread the spirit and message of world peace.
This will be the fourth time Vietnam is hosting this grand Buddhist celebration, following previous events in 2008 (My Dinh National Convention Center, Hanoi), 2014 (at Bai Dinh Spiritual and Cultural Tourism Complex, in Ninh Binh), and 2019 (in Tam Chuc Pagoda, Ha Nam).
