In a statement released by the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello affirmed that the government and its supporters remain united, asserting that actions from outside are aimed at destabilizing the domestic situation.

Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, who also serves as Oil Minister, has assumed the role of acting head of government with the approval of Venezuela’s Supreme Court.

Rodriguez held her first cabinet meeting on Sunday, and the Venezuelan National Assembly is expected to reconvene on Monday.
