(VOVworld) – Venezuela’s government expressed optimism Tuesday about a dialogue with the Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD).

Government Representative Jorge Rodriguez said he has held 2 meetings on the issue. At the meeting, Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez, diplomat Roy Chaderton, Senator Elias Jaua, and Mr. Jorge Rodriguez met with 4 representatives of MUD. Mr Jorge Rodriguez said there has been a progress on setting out a roadmap for the dialogue, but that the government will not discuss a referendum to dismiss President Nicolas Maduro. He did not give a specific time for the negotiations.
