(VOVworld) - Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, – the non-resident special envoy of the Vatican to Vietnam, held a working session with Kontum provincial leaders on Tuesday. He expressed his hope that the Kontum Diocese and local government will continue to maintain their good relations and balance between daily and religious activities. Dao Xuan Quy, chairman of Kon Tum provincial People’s Committee, hailed Catholic followers’ contributions to local cultural and socio-economic development. He reiterated the local authorities’ determination to ensure people’s freedom of religion and create the best possible conditions for them to conduct their religious activities in accordance with national law.
