The inoculation campaign was launched at a ceremony in the northern province of Bac Ninh where Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said Vietnam has been working hard to seek different sources of vaccines to ensure fair, safe and effective public access.
Following the launch ceremony, 96 workers at Funing Precision Component Company were the first among 400,000 local workers to get vaccine shots. Another 90,000 workers will be vaccinated in the coming days.
Bac Giang now has the highest number of infections in Vietnam with more than 1,600, followed by its neighbor Bac Ninh with more than 670 cases.
