US forces dispatched military and logistical supplies from bases in Iraq while Turkish forces deployed a large number of reinforcements through the Ras al-Ayn and al-Sukkariyah border gates.

The US has several military bases in northeastern Syria, which is now controlled by Kurdish forces. Syria has repeatedly called on the international community to pressure the US to withdraw from Syria.
