Earlier, President Trump said he wanted to pull US troops out of Syria and concentrate on creating jobs and building up the US’s infrastructure. This remark prompted US army leaders to point out that the fight against IS isn’t over yet. Trump’s advisers said US forces in Syria should remain there on a small scale for at least two more years.
