US to inspect Vietnamese catfish

(VOVWORLD) - The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service will inspect Vietnamese cat fish in the next few months, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

So far, relevant Vietnamese agencies have provided the US side with more than 2,000 pages of documents at the request of the US Catfish Inspection Program. The US, via their embassy, said Vietnam’s catfish inspection system is similar to their own. The US will conduct a field trip for verification of the documents.
