Mr. Biegun presented in detail the progress made at the meeting and the next steps in diplomacy. Leaving the meeting room, Mr. Biegun declined to answer a question from Yonhap news agency about whether he planned to travel to Pyongyang in the near future.
On Monday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said he hopes to send a working group to North Korea in the coming weeks.
