US special envoy reports to Congress on results of DPRK-US Summit

(VOVWORLD) -US Special Envoy to North Korea Stephen Biegun on Tuesday reported to the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on the recent Summit in VN between President Donald Trump and DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un.

Mr. Biegun presented in detail the progress made at the meeting and the next steps in diplomacy. Leaving the meeting room, Mr. Biegun declined to answer a question from Yonhap news agency about whether he planned to travel to Pyongyang in the near future.

On Monday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said he hopes to send a working group to North Korea in the coming weeks.
