US, South Korea fire weapons after North Korea missile launch

(VOVWORLD) - South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said South Korean and US forces fired four surface-to-surface missiles into the sea on Wednesday, a day after North Korea fired a ballistic missile over Japan.

Each side fired a pair of US-made ATACMS short-range ballistic missiles, which hit a simulated target and demonstrated the alliance's ability to counter aggression, according to a joint statement.
