The meeting followed President Trump’s call with Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam on earlier this month.

The two sides agreed on the importance of reciprocal and balanced trade between the United States and Vietnam.

Their teams will engage in technical discussions in the coming days about expanding market access and addressing unfair trade practices.
