The official said President Trump has expressed his willingness to meet Leader Kim again in the future, but such a meeting is not included in the schedule for this trip.

There is a "considerable" chance that Trump will meet Kim during his visit, said South Korea's unification minister, Chung Dong-young. President Trump is expected to arrive in South Korea next Wednesday to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.

Officials in President Trump’s administration have held informal discussions about the possibility of arranging a meeting with the North Korean leader.

Minister Chung said that Seoul does not want to miss even one percent of the opportunity to promote dialogue between the two sides, adding South Korea is ready to provide support if the meeting takes place.
