More than 900,000 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered via the pier early this month. But it was damaged by heavy storms about one week after the delivery began.
All sections of the damaged pier were repaired in Ashdod, a port city in Israel before being reconnected to the coast of Gaza.
The Health authorities in Gaza on Friday said at least 36,731 people have died since the Hamas-Israel conflict broke out last October. Israel’s statistics show that the conflict has killed 1,194 Israeli people and soldiers.
The Israeli army has besieged the Gaza Strip for months, making it difficult for 2.4 million people in the territory to access clean water, food, medicine and fuel.
