US President’s Vietnam visit to expand comprehensive cooperation

(VOVWORLD) -President Tran Dai Quang has applauded the successful term of outgoing US Ambassador  Ted Osius and asked him to contribute more to Vietnam’s high-quality human resource training as Vice President of Fulbright University Vietnam.

President Quang received Ambassador Osius in Hanoi on Monday, while new US Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink, confirmed by the US Senate last week, will arrive in Vietnam before the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week next week in Da Nang city.

President Quang said that he hopes US President Donald Trump’s participation in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week and visit to Vietnam will expand comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Osius said he believes that the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week will be a great success, proving Vietnam’s dynamic development. He noted that President Trump’s visit will bring bilateral ties to new heights.
