In his speech a day after the US Congress confirmed his victory, Biden said he will announce a relief program next week to nurse an economy reeling from the coronavirus pandemic back to health, which will include a federal minimum wage and raising tax. He also pledged to speed up the release of coronavirus vaccines.
In another development, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy opposes impeaching President Donald Trump for the storming of the Capitol by his supporters, saying that this move will divide the great country more.
