US president to impose 15-20% tariffs on countries without separate trade deals

(VOVWORLD) -US President Donald Trump said Monday that most of the US’s trading partners who do not negotiate separate trade deals will face tariffs of 15-20% on their exports to the US, well above the broad 10% tariff he imposed in April.

President Trump said his administration will notify some 200 countries soon of the new tariff.

He also said he wants to see China open up further, and that the US will resume trade negotiations with Thailand and Cambodia once those two countries reach a ceasefire and peace agreement.
