(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, US President Barack Obama delivered the State of the Union address, the final one in his presidential post.

According to the White House’s Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, the President reviewed economic issues in his previous two terms and talked about the selection of his successor to take office in January 2017. The White House said Mr. Obama pleged to make his final address different from the previous ones. Instead of listing policy proposals, this would be an open discussion about the issues facing the US. Traditionally, US Presidents make annual State of the Union addresses which focus on top priorities in the country’s interior and external policies. Economic issue accounts for most part of the State of the Union address.
