(VOVworld) - President Barack Obama co-hosted the Sixth Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) on Saturday with his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta. The two countries are expected to register high imports and exports from each other.
This is the first time this kind of summit is being held in the region of South Sahara. Barack Obama’s administration hopes that this Summit will attract more than 1 billion USD dollar in private investment for the next three years. President Obama also held talks with Kenya’s leaders on trade, investment, anti-terrorism and other issues of common interest. He will attend a joint press conference with his counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta and deliver an important speech to Kenyan people on Sunday.
This is the first time President Obama has visited his homeland and he is also the first US president to visit Kenya. The visit by President Obama is expected to tighten the bilateral relationship between Kenya and the US. After a three-day visit to Kenya, President Obama will visit Ethiopia.
