(VOVworld)-The governor of Missouri is pulling out National Guard troops who are assisting state and local police in Ferguson, Missouri, as protests continue there, following last week's killing of an unarmed African-American by a white police officer. Speaking to the press, Governor of Missouri Jay Nixon said that the appearance of the National Guard troops in Ferguson town was now unnecessary at the showing of continuous improvement of security there.

Tensions were eased after the visit of Attorney General Eric Holder to the Ferguson town. In the last 24 hours, 6 more people were arrested by the police, dropping drastically compared to the 47 people arrested the previous day
