According to a White House statement, in a phone call Abe and Trump reaffirmed their commitment to achieving final, fully verified denuclearization of the Korean peninsular. Trump is likely to visit Japan twice in 2 months, a formal visit to Japan in late May, then a return in late June to attend the G20 summit.

The White House Statement said Trump left open the possibility of additional meetings with Kim after their second summit.
