US, Iran work to resume nuclear talks

(VOVWORLD) -Iranian and US officials had an indirect meeting through the mediation of the EU within the framework of the 8th round of negotiations in Vienna on reviving the 2015 nuclear deal or the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) , Iranian state media reported on Friday.

Iran's chief negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani tweeted before heading to Vienna, calling on Washington to "show maturity and act responsibly".

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Peter Stano, the EU’s diplomatic service lead spokesperson, called on Iran and the US to make a "final effort" to save the JCPOA.
