(VOVworld) - US Ambassador to Vietnam David Shear said he is optimistic about prospects of the two countries’ relations, adding that bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, science and environment has been developed constantly. Ambassador David Shear was speaking at a ceremony at the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday to mark the 238^th Independence Day of the American country on July 4^th.
Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Manh Ha hailed the big strides in bilateral relations, noting that the completion of Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement (TPP) will facilitate bilateral economic ties. He said Vietnam hopes TPP will be a comprehensive, balanced agreement that acknowledges the diverse development of member countries.
