(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Health and the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention have launched a project to strengthen global health security capacity in Vietnam.

The 5-year project which will run through September, 2019, will provide technical and non-refundable aid to Vietnam for preventive medicine departments, medical checkup management departments, central and provincial epidemic prevention institutes, and central and local hospitals.
Under the project, Vietnam will establish monitoring systems to promptly detect diseases and improve its response time to control epidemics.
