(VOVworld) – A new national poll on Thursday shows that Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, has taken a lead over her rival, Republican nominee Donald Trump.

According to a survey conducted by Red Oak Strategies, Clinton has 36.6% support while Trump has 29.6%. Another national poll released by Bloomberg Politics showed a similar result, with Clinton enjoying a 6-point lead over Trump. The former US Secretary of State leads her Republican rival by 12% nationwide according to a poll by Monmouth University.

Some other surveys found Clinton leading Trump in several of the most important competitive states. An NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll showed Clinton with 48-37% lead over her rival in Pennsylvania. She also leads in two other important states - Iowa and Ohio.
