According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in South Sudan, this country is facing one of the most complex crises in the world and the priority is to quickly raise 1 billion USD to reach 4 million people.
The UN Mission in South Sudan estimated that 10 million people, roughly two-thirds of the population, will need humanitarian aid in 2026, with over 600,000 refugees among them.
The UN is urging the warring parties to end the violence and abide by international humanitarian law, and calling on international donors to urgently contribute funds to maintain life-saving operations.
