(VOVworld) - The UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2165 on Monday authorizing humanitarian convoys to assist more than one million Syrian civilians in rebel-held areas. The council unanimously approved the measure, including permanent members Russia and China, who have vetoed four Western-backed draft resolutions on Syria since the start of the conflict in 2011. According to Resolution 2165, all sides participating in battles in Syria have to create good condition and secure absolute safety for humanitarian convoys to Syria.
