Speaking prior to consultations with the UN Security Council, Mr. De Mistura said the ideal trajectory over the coming two weeks would be progress in Astana on July 4-5, then further technical aspect meetings with opposition groups in the same week, and then continued dialogue among the main international stakeholders including at the G20 summit in Hamburg on July 7-8. He said he hopes the combination of these elements will shape a conducive environment for the next round of talks in Geneva later on.
