The UN Peacekeeping Mission in the Central African Republic quoted Smail Chergui, the African Union’s Commissioner for Peace and Security, as highlighting the parties’ exemplary cooperation at the Khartoum talks and stressing that was a great day for the Central African Republic and for all people of the country.
The Head of the Central African Republic government’s delegation to the talks, Firmin Ngrebad, said he was determined to respond to the concerns of the participating armed groups. He also underscored that Central Africans' support of the agreement will enable the people of the Central African Republic to embark on the path of reconciliation, concord, and development.
