The government had previously announced a 14-day quarantine on visitors from Spain, starting midnight Saturday. The decision came following a spike in coronavirus cases in Spain, where 900 new cases were reported on Friday.

The German and French governments are considering the same quarantine requirement on travelers from Spain.
