The polls must be held by early 2025. Opposition parties have called for the vote to be held as soon as possible.

According to recent polls in the UK, the Labor Party is still leading Rishi Sunak's ruling Conservative Party by a relatively large gap. A poll conducted by Ipsos in December revealed that the Labor Party had the support of 41% of British voters, while the Conservative Party had only 24%, followed by the Liberal Democrats with 13%. However, it is worth noting that the gap between the Conservative Party and the Labor Party has narrowed in the past few months.

Sunak has struggled to deliver on his key promises, including migration, economic growth, and healthcare improvements.
