(VOVworld) - The UK will invest an extra 1.74 billion USD international aid in Syria and the region to help fund education, create jobs and humanitarian protection.
Prime Minister David Cameron announced the commitment on the day high-level representatives from 70 countries and international organisations around the world were due to meet in London to debate support for the world’s biggest humanitarian crisis. The money will be disbursed for Syria, Jordan, Libya, and Turkey from 2016 to 2020.
