(VOVworld)- On Monday, National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong held talks with Eleanor Laing, Deputy Speaker of the UK House of Commons.

At the talks, Ms Phong urged both sides to increase delegation exchanges, enhance bilateral dialogue and mutual support at multilateral forums and international organizations. She praised the project “Young Vietnamese National Assembly” between the two countries and supported the two countries in establishing the Vietnam-UK Friendship Parliamentarians Group. She asked the UK to share its experiences and help Vietnam in capacity building for legislators. Ms Laing promised to help the Vietnam National Assembly in personnel training. She proposed solutions to boost the strategic partnership between the two countries and two legislatures.
