(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, the UK held a ceremony in London to commemorate the 10th anniversary of a series of bombings targeting London’s underground transportation system on July 7, 2005. The same day, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Mayor of London Boris Johnson, and high-ranking officials of the public security and transportation sectors laid wreaths at the 7 July Memorial in Hyde Park where there are 52 steel posts representing the 52 people who died in the bombings ten years ago.
A prayer ceremony for victims was held later at St Paul’s church attended by UK Prime Minister Cameron and Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
Many people laid wreaths at King’s Cross station, Tavistock Square, and other places where victims were killed.
