(VOVworld) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accepted the resignation of the cabinet led by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Tuesday after the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) lost its majority in parliament inSunday’s polls.

However, the Prime Minister and his team were asked to stay until a new government is formed.  President Erdogan hosted Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu for an hour of closed-door talks inside the presidential palace in Ankara to discuss the government’s future.  Analysts said the cabinet’s resignation was purely procedural. It’s still unclear if Erdogan would discuss with other parties in Turkey about whether to form a new government.
