(VOVworld) – The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a travel warning for Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, urging Turkish citizens to "consider the risks" in the region.

The Ministry said that some airlines have already canceled their flights to the peninsula.

On Wednesday, the Islamic State posted an image of parts of an alleged homemade bomb considered the cause of last week’s crash of a Russia connected airliner in the Sinai.

Russian newspaper “Kommersant” quoted sources as saying that the bomb was probably left under a window seat.

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced its conclusion that the crash of the Russian passenger plane over Egypt’s Sinai was a terrorist attack.
