Addressing a press conference in Florida, President Trump said he made the warning as the US Congress faces a deadline next month to fund parts of the federal government and a possible showdown over money for Trump’s proposed border wall.

Mr. Trump also warned that the US could close the whole border with Mexico for a period of time if he finds that the situation escalates to the point that the US is going to lose control or American people are going to be endangered. This will mean, for example, that Mexico will be barred from automobile sales in the US market.
