In an interview with Brexit Party Leader Nigel Farage on LBC Radio, Trump said the UK should not implement the new deal because it will not allow London to do business freely and sign a trade agreement with the US. The comment has partly run contrary to his commitment made in September that Washington is closely working with London so that both can sign a trade deal after the UK officially leaves the EU.
In this interview, Trump said Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the UK's main opposition Labour Party, is not competent enough to take the position and bring the UK out of the current standstill. Trump called on Johnson and Farage to work together to deliver Brexit.
