Trump said he will speak with members of the House Republican Conference as they consider who will become the next speaker.

The House on Tuesday voted to remove California Republican Kevin McCarthy from his position as House Speaker. So far, there are two declared candidates, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise of Louisiana and House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan.
