Visiting the Centre in Hanoi on Monday, President Phuc said the facility should be developed into a prestigious science-technology center to help Vietnam fulfil its goal in becoming a developing country with modern-oriented industry by 2030.

“The centre should expand fields of its potential, especially in tropical ecology, marine environments, research on infectious diseases, as well as non-traditional security challenges,” said Mr. Phuc.
