It will be the highlight of a series of activities in April to celebrate Vietnam Ethnic Groups' Cultural Day (April 19) which will be attended by minority groups from the northern and Central Highlands regions.

The market will offer visitors an opportunity to taste local dishes, explore indigenous culture and handicraft products, and enjoy folk recreation. Art troupes from Son La and Lai Chau provinces will perform folklore songs and dances at the event which will also feature 40 photos introducing the culture of minority people in the northwestern region.

Unique traditional festivals and cultural practices will be staged, including the peace praying ceremony of the La Ha people, the ritual to welcome the new rice season of the Si La, rain prayers of the Ha Nhi, and the Chol Chnam Thmay festival of the Khmer community.
