(VOVworld)- President Tran Dai Quang has asked the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to increase communications and educations on trade union organization and laws  relating trade union and workers.

Trade union fulfills its role of protecting workers’ right and interests

At a meeting with the Confederation on Saturday, the President stressed the impact that Vietnam’s international integration, Vietnam's commitments to ASEAN and the World Trade Organization, and Vietnam's participation in new-generation free trade agreements, will have on the workers and trade unions. Quang urged the organization to participate more proactively in building policies and laws on socio-economics, trade union, labor, job, wages, social security, social insurance, and labor protection. At the meeting, the organization reviewed workers’ movements and trade union activities and discussed the project on reforming Vietnamese trade unions.
