Mr. Dung said Tra Vinh should focus on upgrading infrastructure, especially roads, to serve socio-economic development. He asked the province to fully tap its potential in agriculture and fishing by replicating successful cooperative models and applying technology in production. He also urged the province to mobilize all resources and take drastic measures in building new rural areas.
The same day, Prime Minister Dung monitored a project for high capacity sea vessels to enter the Hau river. He also oversaw work being done on the Duyen Hai electricity plant. These are two major construction projects in the Mekong river Delta.
