At the 3-day event, the participants reviewed the TPP’s content and analyzed Vietnam’s commitments in the agreement on legal difference, law adjustments to be made in line with TPP’s regulations, and enterprises’ preparations. The conference also discussed the role of the National Assembly in ratifying and supervising the implementation of the TPP and measures to compel institutions to undergo proper legal reform.
The conference also touched upon TPP related issues including labor, Intellectual Property, Technical Barriers to Trade, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, Rule of Origin and apparel. This will help update National Assembly deputies on the latest information regarding the treaty to facilitate discussions and voting for the approval of the agreement scheduled for July 2016.
