Mr. Hue said that last year the National Assembly, its agencies, and each NA deputy did their utmost, were united, and constantly renewed their working practices to contribute to socio-economic recovery and development and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

2022 witnessed significant changes in the legislative body’s mindset and working methods in performing its oversight job. 

In 2023, the National Assembly will further improve the quality and effectiveness of its operations to meet the national political requirements and tasks in the new period, Mr. Hue said.

The legislative body will continue to create a timely, high-quality, and synchronous legal framework to serve national socio-economic development, national defense and security, and foreign affairs, according to the NA chief.

Priorities will be given to building new laws and supplementing laws in key areas to create socio-economic growth breakthroughs, he said.
