Only when the people enjoy a safe, happy, and wealthy life, can peace and sustainable development be achieved, he said.

The Vietnamese National Assembly has been doing its utmost to create laws which guarantee the legitimate rights and interests of the people and businesses. Vietnam is working hard to promote friendship and cooperation with other countries, particularly traditional friends like Bangladesh, according to Chairman Hue.

“The traditional friendship and fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Bangladesh have stood the test of time. The two parliaments have frequently exchanged delegations and shared experience, especially in institution building, administrative management, education, tourism and climate change,” said Mr. Hue.        

Chairman Hue proposed the two countries deepen political ties, consolidate mutual trust and understanding, strengthen economic cooperation as a focus and momentum for the development of bilateral relations, and enhance coordination in green agriculture and green technology in response to climate change.
