Mr. Man appreciated the Bulgarian Parliament for quickly ratifying the Investment Protection Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union (EVIPA) just before the Bulgaria visit by the Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman in September last year. The move has facilitated investment activities for businesses from both sides, he added.

The top legislator proposed that the President support the two National Assemblies in implementing the cooperation agreement signed in September 2024 in maintaining high-level delegation exchanges, fostering interactions between the friendship group of parliamentarians, young lawmakers, and female parliamentarians, and coordinating to promote the implementation of agreements between the two governments.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining contacts, consultations, cooperation, and mutual support at multilateral parliamentary forums, as well as on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

President Radev said that Bulgaria is always a friend and supporter of Vietnam; is committed to being a bridge to promote the comprehensive partnership between the EU and Vietnam; and is ready to help Vietnam in lifting the illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing yellow card.

The guest said he believes that the close relationship between the two countries will deepen the legal framework of both sides, thereby continuing to maintain open dialogue and promoting the signing of documents to boost trade and investment cooperation.
