They visited local attractions including the My Tho wharf and the Tien River and stopped at Thoi Son islet to enjoy folk songs, honey tea, and fruit, and row a rowboat on the canals. 

“Everyone was happy to be so well received. They loved taking photos and we gave them a thank you message and traditional conical hats,” said Nguyen Vu Khanh, Director of the Tourism Development Center.

In the first half of 2022, Tien Giang province welcomed 287,000 visitors, including 9,200 foreigners. This year, it hopes to welcome 580,000 visitors, twice as many as last year.
