This is part of a ceasefire at the local level aimed to develop a safe passage to their stronghold of Raqqa.
Under a UN-brokered deal, insurgents of the IS and its rival, the al-Qaeda-linked Al-Nusra Front will leave Qadam, Hajar al-Aswad, and Yarmouk refugee camp.
They will then be transported to the northern cities of Raqa, held by IS, and Marea which is controlled by Islamists and Al-Nusra.
The second phase of the deal will see government institutions reopen in the neighbourhoods and "the necessities of daily life would be secured"
Mohammad al-Omari, a representative of Syria's reconciliation ministry, expressed his hope that a "larger reconciliation process" will allow some 1.8 million people to return to the southern suburbs of Damascus.
