(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung stressed that in 2014 the National Assembly’s Office needs to do well its consulting task to the National Assembly.

At a conference on Monday, Mr. Hung said the National Assembly Standing Committee and other agencies have undergone some changes and gained positive results in legislation, supervising and making decisions in the country’s significant issues as well as in diplomatic activities. Chairman Hung asked the Office to pay more attention to communication.
He also called for closer cooperation between the National Assembly and the mass media to publicize the National Assembly activities. He said that the publicity would help familiarize the nation as well as Vietnamese living abroad with the assembly’s work.
The Office was also urged to promote their external activities to introduce the image of Vietnam’s National Assembly to international friends and raise the quality and efficiency of parliamentary diplomacy.
